Overview
Kinetix Healthcare supplies high-quality orthotic-grade thermoplastic sheets used in the fabrication of custom-molded orthoses, including AFOs, KAFOs, TLSOs, and upper-limb braces. These materials are selected for their formability, strength, skin safety, and repeatability — whether used in vacuum-forming or manual shaping processes.
Our range includes materials suitable for both adult and pediatric bracing, with various thicknesses, colors, and temperature profiles.
Polypropylene (PP)
Use: Rigid braces such as AFOs and spinal shells
Features:
- High stiffness and durability
- Good form memory
- Translucent white or clear appearance
Thicknesses: 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm
Sheet Sizes: 600 × 900 mm / 1000 × 1000 mm
Heating Temp: 170–180°C

Polyethylene (PE-HD / PE-LD)
Use: Semi-rigid orthoses, padding interfaces
Features:
- Softer and more flexible than PP
- Easy to shape and trim
- Lower temperature for forming

Colors: White / Black
Heating Temp: 130–150°C

PETG (Copolyester)
Use: Transparent check sockets and test orthoses
Features:
- Crystal clear transparency
- Good impact resistance
- Forms easily with vacuum

Orthotic-grade EVA Sheets
Use: Padding, footbeds, inner liners for custom AFOs/KAFOs
Features:
- Soft and compressible
- Easily heat-molded
- Shock-absorbing and skin-friendly
Hardness Options: 20–50 Shore A
Colors: Black / Blue / White

Pediatric Applications
Use: Smaller sheet cuts for children’s AFOs and TLSOs
Features:
- Softer PE or EVA recommended
- Available in fun colors or translucent for aesthetics
- Sheet sizes suitable for smaller molds (e.g., 400 × 600 mm)

Fabrication Notes
- Always follow sheet-specific heating guidelines
- Use vacuum-forming or drape-molding equipment
- Trim cooled plastic with band saw or router
- Store in flat, cool, dry environments
