Overview
Kinetix Healthcare supplies a versatile range of mechanical knee joints for transfemoral prosthetic systems. Our selection covers core configurations suited to basic ambulation, rehabilitation, and moderate activity levels, including options for both adult and pediatric users.
All knees are modular (30 mm system compatible) and built for alignment flexibility, safety, and clinical reliability.
Single-Axis Friction-Control Knee
Use: Low-activity (K1–K2) adult users
Features:
- Single pivot point
- Adjustable extension resistance
- Lightweight and cost-effective
- Simple to maintain

Polycentric (Four-Bar) Knee
Use: K2–K3 users seeking smoother gait and added toe clearance
Features:
- 4-bar linkage for greater stability
- Inherent stance-phase support
- Ideal for longer residual limbs or users with variable cadence
Weight Limit: Up to 125 kg
Connector: Integrated pyramid adapter

Weight-Activated Stance Control Knee
Use: Early-stage rehabilitation, geriatric patients, or low-confidence users
Features:
- Locking under body weight during stance phase
- Unlocks for swing at toe-off
- Reduces fall risk for new users

Manual Lock Knee (Available by clinical request)
Use: Bilateral amputees, max-stability needs
Features:
- Manually locked for standing and walking
- Released by lever or cable for sitting
- Stable but mechanically outdated for active unilateral use
Recommendation: Reserved for special use cases only
Pediatric Prosthetic Knees
Use: Children with transfemoral limb loss or rotationplasty
Features:
- Miniature versions of single-axis or polycentric designs
- Lightweight and size-scaled
- Smooth motion with controlled extension
- Adjustable to accommodate growth

Fitting & Compatibility
- Compatible with 30 mm pylons, adapters, and standard locking systems
- Extension assist springs and knee bumpers available
- Clinician alignment and tuning is strongly advised
